Bill Floyd started Floyd Glass Company in 1980. He opened the doors with a mission to provide the best possible product and services that he knew how. 35 years later, it remains family and locally owned and the Tyler family (Kathy, Justin and Josh) continue the same mission.
Over the years, there has been a few small changes, Floyd Glass Company is now Floyd Glass & Window. The product line has expanded to include Custom Shower Doors, decorative cabinet glass and much more. Floyd moved locations to their current building and in 2015 will be looking to expand again. The FloydGroup is the parent company that over seas Floyd Auto Glass to Go, Floyd Glass & Window and the newest addition, Floyd Renovations, which provides Bathroom and Kitchen Remodeling and Siding.
“As we add new products and services and different companies inside The FloydGroup, our mission always remains the same. The Floyd name is very important to us, and to the community that we serve. We strive to provide the best possible products, service and customer service that we know how to. That is the only way we know how to do business.”
Through out the years there has been one constant, familiar face. Steve Kluesner, Floyd Glass & Window’s shop manager, has been with Floyd for over 20 years and he continues to grow with the company.
Steve had this to say about the longevity and success Floyd has had: “Floyd is success because they care about their customers, they take great pride in the work all the way from the office to the technicians.” He went on, “I been with Floyd so long because I like the work I do and every day is different. I enjoy putting in glass it’s a trade that not many people can do. I love my job!”
When asked about his favorite thing about working at Floyd, Steve had this to say, “One of my favorite things about working for Floyd is that it’s a family own business and even though I’m not blood, they make me like I am. Kathy, Josh and Justin are great business people. I’m so lucky to work for such a great company. Hope I have many many more years with them.”
